Sakhile Dube-Mwedzi is an extensively experienced pharmaceutical and health care professional. A pharmacist by training, her career started in hospital pharmacy in Zimbabwe’s second largest city. She is a proven leader, innovator and collaborator in the pharmaceutical sector and public health framework in Zimbabwe, Southern African countries and within the context of international public policy organizations such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association (CPA), amongst others. Her more than 25 years of experience working in the Southern African pharmaceutical sector have included but were not limited to roles encompassing project management; leading inspection teams to verify compliance with correct Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP),, Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) in African and overseas countries; designing and implementing quality management systems and programming global healthcare assignments. She is also a trainer and educator. having developed various courses related to regulatory science and supply chain integrity subject matters. On the business front, she is a founding founding shareholder in a small pharmaceutical distribution company based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe; and is also a pharmaceutical business consultant.
She joins Zerttew to pioneer the pharmaceutical arm of the business based on her wealth of knowledge and experience in this area. The initial focus of Zerttew Pharma division will be the provision of effective, good quality medical products with special attention to affordability and equitable access. This will be possible through tapping into the wide network established over the year in this sector. Over time there will be an expression into integrated pharmaceutical healthcare solutions.
